And again a different take, or view, on that song, coming from a guitar player… Cory Wong stays more in the background here, as he does in a lot of songs, even with his own bands. But check him out, Brian. He is fantastic, the bands he’s playing with are all fantastic. The horns here are part of Horn Heads, a group of excellent session players who toured and recorded with many great musicians, including Prince. And Cory has done at least one video of him playing a Prince guitar-. You mentioned that it would be hard standing toe to toe with Henrik. And that’s right-except they weren’t. This collab came about during the pandemic, when Cory asked the Loops if they wanted to do a cover of Thriller, -and why not do a whole album together. This album here, Turbo, is the result. Because no one could travel, the whole thing was entirely written, arranged, recorded and filmed on two different continents. Cory and his horns were sitting in the US, the Loops in Sweden They communicated and sent files etc. all via the net. Afterwards Aron edited the whole video so it looks as though they’re together on one stage. Four of the tracks on Turbo come with a music video. Apart from this one, there is “Thriller”, “Ring of Saturn” and the title track “Turbo”. All of them are pretty insane. Might want to check out “Thriller” next 👍

Great reaction.👍 Of course, Hazuki uses Marshall... Saki does too. Nemophila also has a version of the Loudness song "Crazy Doctor" that is faster and has a flashier solo performed by Saki: ruclips.net/video/dAjfoDqDg2s/видео.htmlsi=AOyxWWXAit37lcE3 Personally "Crazy Nights" doesn't sound much like Motley... to me it sounds more like Judas from the Screaming or Defenders. By the way Loudness is still strong and active, in fact Nemophila and Loudness are friend bands and have shared the stage on more than one occasion.😎

    >"what are they spelling?" The chant of "M.Z.A." featured in the song came about when Norman asked Niihara to come up with something to sing over the main riff between the chorus and next verse. "M.Z.A." means nothing, and it was intended to be replaced with another line in post-production. When Niihara couldn't come up with anything to replace it, the "M.Z.A." chant survived.

I think Hazuki has been using Engel amps lately, pretty sure it's an Engel Fireball, but I have also seen her using a Boss Katana for some stuff as well--probably the Engel for Nemo stuff and the Boss for covers. Those Fishman pickups also seem to be a new addition. Hizaki from Versailles is still my #1 guitarist but I think Hazuki is at #2 now, now that she's been able to let loose some more. She's obviously talented, but the stuff she's done with Li-sa-X/Koiai shows that there's A LOT more skill there we haven't seen yet.

Here is the real deal as I have watched all your Jinjer reactions (Jinjer is my favorite band). Jinjer came to me through Babymetal as me falling into Babymetal lead me to reactions and into Jinjer as well. Since 2013 Babymetal performs shows with a live band as others have said the Kami Band. The Kami Band is a slew of rotating musicians ALL with serious chops both the Japanese and Western members. Thing is as you now know Babymetal is the 3 young women. It is also not a typical “band” or concert. It is more like musical theater or an opera. The musicianship is insanely good but you don’t see the band as much just like the musicians are not the focus of the visuals in a musical or opera. There are exceptions when the band is prominent in the show all these solo sections are special. Their now deceased guitarist Mikio Fujioka was an exceptionally gifted and unique player. He is seen in most lives prior to his death pre 2018 shows. Babymetal like every Japanese band is best seen live, like I said it is an experience not just a concert. Here is a list of songs for the styles you may want to checkout: Road of Resistance live from Japan 2015, original guitar parts by Herman Li and Sam Totman (Dragonforce has played as backing band for Babymetal on this song before), for pure progressive metal Tales of the Destinies live Tokyo Dome, Portnoy loved this song, classic metal Ijime Dame Zettai, Sonisphere 2014 (1st big show outside Japan, their most important performance) plus to see the Kami Band soloing Rondo of Nightmare with Mischief of Gods intro. Don’t be afraid to jump in I live Jinjer, Crypta, Maiden, hell Bathory and Babymetal kicks ass. If you want links let me know it. Is 2 am here and I am worn out, can post later.

Yes, Babymetal are just the three girls who are vocalists and dancers, but they don't do their concerts over music tracks, they have some of the best musicians from around the world with them. I get it; you are a guitar-centric channel and probably think that this might be one of Babymetal's most heavy songs just because it's a colab with 2 guitarists. The reality couldn't be further from the truth; they are renown for their live performances, and this is one of their few lighter songs. Babymetal is officially the 3 women, but they have elite musicians backing them live. Think of them as a metal version of The Supremes with a metal version of the Funk Brothers to back them. They are paid musicians, but they are dedicated to the girls, and some have been backing them for nearly a decade. They have also expressed their huge respect for them as performers over the years. Not every performance focuses on the Kami-band, but some do spectacularly. There are many reasons why the Kami band doesn't really need to be the focus anymore, but that's another story. Having said that, I wouldn't be interested in any reactions that talk about the girls as extras because they don't play instruments. You don't have to like every song, but you do have to accept Babymetal as a singer, 2 dancers, and a 4-piece backing band. My favourite band is Black Sabbath BTW, and I will say without any doubt that Babymetal are the most radicaly daring and original metal act since them.

Hi and welcome to BABYMETAL. This seems to be a challenging case for us and I like challenges. 😁 First, sorry for some comments I've read. I'm usually very combative with people that disrespect them but I believe it's not the case. As many already explained, BABYMETAL is the three ladies but they are backed by a live band, known as Kami Band formed by some of the best session musicians money can pay. The current set (formed by American musicians) have been playing with BABYMETAL for five years now with a minimal rotation (just the bass player, actually). There is another set formed by Japanese musicians. They are not technically part of BABYMETAL but fans love and appreciate them as if they were. The thing is that they are very diverse musically since they like to blend any music genre with metal. And their live shows are on another level to the point they are sometimes considered a live act. They also sound better live so we always recommend to watch live videos. About particular suggestions, you already have a ton of incredibly good ones. But if you are very into prog-metal I'd suggest you "Tales of the Destinies" (Live at Tokyo Dome 2016). This is a very, very special song and live performance. 🤘🦊

@@jason7120 that’s fair, but I didn’t necessarily count out doing more. I often like to react to new bands/player with an authentic approach and see what fans say. You can’t win most times if you pander to fans. I like to see if fans can win me over and I move forward or move on. You may think it’s disrespectful to BABYMETAL that I know nothing about them, but someone recommended this song do to Tim and Scottie being on the song. How many BABYMETAl fans are going to check out Polyphia? I would hope a good amount and maybe it broadens musical horizons on both sides.

This is a great version, and shows that although losing Saki (guitarist) had its affect, it didn't deter Nemophila from their path.. Hazuki (imo, a much underrated guitarist) can take up the challenge quite handily and run with it.. Meanwhile amazing bassist Haraguchi-san throwing in more bass runs, and fills, along with Queen Tamu getting even more tecnical, and detailed on that drum kit, shows they'll keep moving forward..If you get a chance check out their revised four member version of their song "Rise",(evolve) and "Back into the Wild" (evolve).. and just for fun "Slang"

Firstly I do apologise for some of the lower IQ members of the BABYMETAL fanbase, they do not represent the vast majority of the fans. As others have mentioned BABYMETAL are officially just the three ladies but they are backed by some incredible musicians. Unfortunateley the camera doesn't focus on them but they are always there. In terms of collaborations there are a number of them and some are guitarists. However most have not been played live with those featured artists. There is DA DA DANCE featuring Tak Matsumoto, and METALI!! featuring Tom Morello. There is also Road of Resistance featuring Sam Totman and Herman Li although it isn't advertised as a feature. There have also been performances where their backing band, known as the Kami Band, have performed intros and solos. Some notable performances are: (RUclips video titles) BABYMETAL | Rondo of Nightmare (w/ Mischiefs of Metal Gods Intro) | LIVE at Budokan Black Night BABYMETAL | Catch Me If You Can (with Kami Band Intro) | LIVE at Budokan Black Night BABYMETAL | Akatsuki「紅月 -アカツキ-」| LIVE at Budokan Black Night BABYMETAL | Kagerou (with Kami Band Intro) | LIVE Compilation
